George Orwell’s vision of a dystopian future has arrived. In the novel, a world in perpetual war, omnipresent government surveillance and public manipulation leads to a language called “Newspeak”. Invented by the government, the use of negative words have been removed from the vocabulary of the masses. The superstate, ruled by a privileged, elite Inner Party persecutes individualism and independent thinking. The ability of the people to think for themselves has been limited to the extent that it is almost impossible to think at all and therefore even communication is next to nonexistent.
… Go to college, go to work, get married, have 2.5 kids, pay your taxes, pay bills, watch “Dancing with the Stars” on TV, follow Kim Kardashian’s fashion, act normal, obey the law and repeat after me: I AM FREE!
Finally … add hackers, criminals, thieves, and other predatory types. Encrypting Ransom-ware viruses, worms, disgruntled employees and identity thief! Do you even stand a chance at all?
